Description:
We are seeking three Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for the 2026–2027 school year to support students with autism through individualized academic, behavioral, and personal‑care assistance.

Position Overview
PCAs provide essential 1:1 support that helps students access their educational programs. These roles work closely with certified staff and case managers to ensure consistent, high‑quality student support.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1:1 Student Support — Work directly with students with autism to reinforce academic instruction, behavior plans, and daily routines.
  • Instructional Assistance — Support cognitive, communication, motor, and social‑emotional skill development.
  • Personal Care — Assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene, mobility, and other daily living needs.
  • Behavior Support — Implement positive behavior strategies and track progress aligned with IEP goals.
  • Collaboration — Coordinate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to maintain consistent programming.
  • Documentation — Record daily activities, progress notes, and relevant observations.
  • Training Participation — Attend required training on autism support, medical protocols, and instructional strategies.
  • Equipment Assistance — Support safe use of orthopedic devices and assist with student positioning.
  • Inclusive Support — Encourage positive peer interactions and help foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience working with children or students (required)
  • Preferred: Experience in Autistic Support, Special Education, Behavioral Health, or Mental Health
  • CPR and First Aid certification required prior to start date
