Position Details
POSITION: Elementary Reading Interventionist Teacher
DESCRIPTION: Full-time Interventionist position funded through Title and At-Risk
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must meet state of Michigan certification requirements to teach elementary education.
- ELA teaching experience preferred.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with assigned grade-level teams to analyze, determine, and create literacy plans for individuals and groups of at-risk students
- Develop and execute high-quality lessons for students using research-based practice
- Assess and record student progress at regular intervals as determined by administration.
- Communicate students' responses to intervention to the classroom teacher at regular intervals as determined by administration.
- Inventory, organize, and make available all necessary materials
- Assist in planning and attend Family Engagement events.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Experience with Science of Reading-based curriculum and instructional materials
- Commitment to participate in LETRS training
- Willingness to participate in ELY schedule or hybrid of ELY & TY schedules
- Experience with NWEA MAP preferred
SALARY: According to the terms of the Master Agreement.
