About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement dynamic reading and language arts curricula for Grades 1-6.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Incorporate diverse teaching methods and resources to enhance literacy skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular literacy initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
• Foster a love for reading through creative and engaging activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• New Jersey teaching certification in Elementary Education or Reading Specialist.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in elementary education.
• Strong understanding of literacy development and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with young learners and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and engage with families.
• Creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
