The Elementary School AssistantAcademic Administratordirects and coordinates educational,administrativeand counseling activities of high school students by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonableaccommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards throughevaluation,developmentandcoordination activities; As needed, researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meetstatestandards;
- Helps articulate the school's mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders havea commonunderstandingandare positioned to workcooperativelytoachievedesiredresults;Utilizes/reliesheavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support apredominantly virtual /remoteworkenvironment;
- Ensures that the school is meeting the needs of students whilecomplying withlocal, state, and federallawsregardingspecialeducation and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE);
- Interfaces with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and localdistrictsregardingcomplianceas it relates to student attendance and engagement in educational program as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations;
- Develops and oversees implementation of the school's Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
- Supervises and evaluates teaching staff; Manages teacher performance, developing and providing necessary training to support their professional development; Manages Master and Lead Teachersandprograms;
- Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school; Coordinates with teacher and K12Enrollmentregardingexpulsionsandwithdrawals;
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly supervises 15-30 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUMREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PreviousSupervisoryExperience
- Five (5) years of educational experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to clear required background check
OTHER REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.);Webproficiency.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
