The School District of Fort Atkinson is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE School Counselor. This position will be split between 2 elementary buildings.
Qualified applicants should possess the following:
- Certified and/or eligible for Wisconsin certification for School Guidance Counselor K-12.
- Working knowledge of Wisconsin Academic and Career Planning requirements.
- Successful group-work with students and knowledge of guidance methodology.
- Successful working experience with students, staff, and parents.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop positive, constructive relationships with students, staff, and the public.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals.
- Working knowledge of 504 plan development and implementation.
- Working knowledge of PBIS and RtI.
- Ability to provide behavioral interventions to students as needed.
