Accountability: Accountable to the building principal
Areas of Responsibility:
Work closely with the principal in carrying out individual library, literacy, media/technology, and visual arts objectives
Help students learn to use technology in targeted areas such as keyboarding, basic computer literacy and component usage, digital citizenship, and familiarity with some integrated math and literacy programs (i.e. IXL, etc.)
Work with students in creating visual and media arts (i.e. BAM).
Use library media to develop student awareness and ability to access, navigate, and assimilate expository and narrative text
Help maintain library technology
Maintain and account for library inventory including but not limited to library books.
Maintain necessary paperwork associated with timelines, instructional progression and assist with preparation of materials
Supervision duties as assigned
Assist with parent communication
Use office equipment as needed to assist teachers in meeting classroom needs
Assist in Administering District Assessments
Manage Student 1-1 Electronic Devices (Check in/out, monitoring/tracking device damage)
Lead and Coordinate Production of Elementary Yearbook
Assistant will complete any other task assigned by the building principal
