Educators join a community committed to innovation, outdoor experiences, and meaningful engagement with the local environment.\n Role Description The Elementary School Teacher is a full-time, on-site position based in Truckee, CA. This role plans and delivers engaging, standards-aligned lessons for elementary-age students, using project-based learning and experiential activities that reflect the school’s mission and philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing curriculum units, differentiating instruction, assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to learners and families. The teacher collaborates with colleagues to integrate subjects, co-design interdisciplinary projects, and support school-wide initiatives. Additional responsibilities include classroom management, participation in faculty meetings, supervision of students during school activities, and active contribution to the school community and culture.\n Qualifications \n

Ability to design and implement effective Curriculum Development and Elementary Education practices aligned with project-based learning.
\n
Strong Teaching and Education skills, including lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and student assessment.
\n
Excellent Communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues in a collaborative school environment.
\n
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degree and/or valid teaching credential for elementary grades preferred.
\n
Experience teaching in an elementary school setting, ideally with project-based or experiential learning models.
\n
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices that support diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
\n
Comfort with educational technology and digital tools that enhance instruction and assessment.
\n
Ability to participate in outdoor and expeditionary learning experiences in varying weather and terrain.
