Position Overview
Flatrock-Hawcreek School Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered individual to serve as an Elementary Science Specials Teacher for grades 1-6. This non-certified position will provide engaging, hands-on science instruction to elementary students on a rotating specials schedule.
The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of science while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment for all learners.
Responsibilities
Teach science classes to students in grades 1-6 on a specials rotation schedule
Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging science lessons and activities
Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
Encourage student inquiry, exploration, and participation
Collaborate with elementary teachers and school staff
Maintain classroom materials and equipment
Follow school policies and procedures
Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who hold or are working toward an education degree
Experience working with children is preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Passion for science education and student learning
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
