- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct, one-on-one, and small group instruction to students in alignment with their IEP goals
- Assess students academic progress and deficits, adapt teaching strategies, and implement intervention to meet their unique learning styles
- Assess benchmark students for reading levels and other literacy skills
- Collaborate with grade level teachers and share strategies/interventions
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation
- Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Implement behavior management strategies in alignment with individual student needs
- Provide reading instruction and intervention for struggling students
- Collaborate with Response to Intervention committee for struggling readers
- Plan and implement remediation programming for IREAD-3 and ILEARN math
- Any other duties deemed necessary by administration
