Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) regulations.
Provide direct instruction in early learning skills such as language, motor skills, social skills, and basic academics (letters, numbers, shapes).
Teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors and social skills using strategies like positive reinforcement and behavior plans.
Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate different disabilities and developmental levels.
Assess and monitor student progress regularly, using data to adjust instruction and update IEP goals.
Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports all learners.
Complete required documentation accurately and on time, including case conference records, evaluation reports, progress reports, and service logs.
Serve as a case manager and active participant in Case Conference Committee meetings, communicating effectively with families and team members.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student goals and ensure services are delivered appropriately.
Communicate with parents and caregivers about student progress, needs, and strategies for support at home.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records related to IEPs, services, and student performance (required under Indiana special education rules).
Coordinate with outside professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff) to support the whole child.
Uphold confidentiality, adhere to Indiana special education law, and ensure all services align with federal and state regulations.

Conducts assigned activities from the administration, in conformity with the approved policies of the Board of Education and State and Federal Law.
Participates cooperatively with the principal in performance evaluations.
Performs other duties as assigned at the request of the superintendent, superintendent designee, or principal.
