GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter-specifically regarding technological literacy and the design process-that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. The teacher shall be a born-again, college graduate, certified or certifiable, who feels called by God to the teaching profession.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, Administrators, and parents.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required to facilitate effective teaching and student development.
  • Ability to support teams in the development of common assessments to inform instruction.
  • Proficiency in educational technology, basic coding, and the ability to manage a computer lab/STEAM center with high levels of organization and innovation.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a relevant STEAM subject area is required.
  • A valid teaching certificate is preferred; alternatively, candidates must be certifiable and willing to pursue Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) certification.
  • Previous teaching experience in an Elementary academic setting is highly desirable.
