Cafeteria, Lesson Plans, Training/Teaching
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate
- Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
- Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
- Supervise students out of class such as in the hallways and in the cafeteria
Job Requirements:
- Be a graduate of an accredited high school
- Have previous experience instructing and/or supervising children
- Be at least 18 year of age to substitute at the elementary level, K-5
- Be at least 21 years of age, or have 60 hours of college credit from an accredited institution to substitute at the secondary level, 6-12. A transcript is to be provided at time of application.
- You must provide a transcript of proof of education when you apply. If you have education beyond high school be sure to note these hours on the application.
- Hold a valid Indiana Substitute Teaching Permit
- Pass an expanded background check- required by Indiana law
