Position: Elementary Teacher - 3rd Grade
The focus of the Elementary Teacher is to build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This position is designed to ensure students develop the critical thinking, literacy, and numeracy skills needed for success in upper elementary grades. The Grade 3 Teacher will create a supportive and engaging classroom environment, deliver standards-aligned instruction, and use data to guide and differentiate learning for all students.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of all students
Assess student learning regularly and use data to guide instructional decisions and interventions
Collaborate with school and grade-level team members to plan instruction, analyze student data, and ensure consistency of practices
Work closely with the intervention team to identify student needs and implement targeted supports
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals
Integrate social-emotional learning and teach appropriate classroom and school behaviors
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and required documentation
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives to support continuous improvement
Qualications:
Elementary Generalist license or ability to obtain Elementary Generalist license.
Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and standards-aligned curriculum in reading, writing, and mathematics
Experience or demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of student learning needs
Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, structured learning environment
Strong collaboration, communication, and data-driven instructional decision-making skills
Preferred Qualications: K-5 Early Literacy Endorsement
Salary: Based upon experience and qualications
