Elementary Teacher's Aide - (Part-Time)

The Lafayette Catholic School System is looking for a Teacher's Aide to assist with Elementary Students.

Duties:

The teacher's aide will work under the teachers supervision to help students and provide adult supervision. Teachers aides must be patient when working with children, be good communicators, and be willing to follow the teachers direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or 60+ college credit hours. Preferred: Coursework in elementary education.
  • Possess Respect & ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings
  • Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols

Special Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of high-ability program design in a K-6 setting is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to build parent and student relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate inside and outside of department.
