The Muskego-Norway School District is seeking a 4th Grade Elementary Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Qualifications:
The district is seeking an educator who is strong in literacy instruction, assessment, and differentiation strategies. The ideal candidate will be focused on student achievement results, possess the ability to readily motivate students and establish a rapport with parents, and collaborate effectively with colleagues in a professional learning community.
Candidates must:
Demonstrate familiarity with the District adopted State Standards in all relevant subject area disciplines;
Plan and present lesson plans that are relevant, rigorous, and integrate curriculum and technology;
Be able to implement explicit and systematic literacy instruction;
Be able to implement engaging math instruction anchored to the Standards for Mathematical Practice;
Utilize and plan for instruction using District-identified resources;
Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a high degree of energy;
Have effective listening skills to engage in professional discourse while striving for consensus;
Have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators;
Demonstrate knowledge of the tenets of a professional learning community;
Demonstrate the ability to analyze, synthesize data that supports and enhances student academic learning;
Demonstrate and understand the use of technologies that can further higher-order thinking skills;
Have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills;
Demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students;
Maintain a lifelong learning commitment through credentials which reflect post-secondary training, conference attendance, participation in summer staff development, and membership in professional organizations;
Have a positive approach to continuous improvement, change, problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and respect.
