Elementary Teacher

Instruction & Student Learning

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction that meets the diverse academic needs of students.
• Develop and implement engaging lessons using evidence-based instructional practices.
• Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Integrate literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and technology into daily instruction.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Establish measurable learning goals and communicate expectations clearly.

Classroom Environment

• Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
• Establish routines and procedures that promote positive behavior and maximize instructional time.
• Implement classroom management practices that encourage student responsibility and engagement.
• Support students' social-emotional growth and development.

Assessment & Data Use

• Administer required assessments and maintain accurate student records.
• Analyze student performance data to identify strengths, areas of growth, and instructional next steps.
• Participate in data meetings and intervention planning processes.
• Communicate student progress regularly with families.

Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with grade-level teams, intervention staff, special education staff, and instructional coaches.
• Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with families through conferences, newsletters, and other outreach methods.
• Support school events and activities as appropriate.
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching license/certification appropriate for elementary grades.
• Knowledge of child development and effective instructional practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to use educational technology and student data systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing differentiated instruction and intervention strategies.
• Experience with standards-based grading and assessment practices.
• Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI).
