The School District of Shiocton is seeking an energetic, dynamic, student-centered and innovative teacher to join our elementary team beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The position is currently at the Kindergarten level. The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A passion for working with elementary students and the ability to establish a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment resulting in high levels of academic achievement, individual student growth, and collective social/emotional development
- Solid understanding of the Wisconsin Academic Standards
- Understanding and background in teaching using the Science of Reading (phonological and phonemic awareness, phonics, etc.)
- Understanding of WI Act 20 screening and personal reading plans
- Knowledge and experience with Handwriting Without Tears
- Strong background and experience with teaching mathematics
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and their families
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Understanding of Wisconsin''s Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Support (EMLSS)
- Commitment to life-long learning and their own professional growth and development
- Effective skills with data analysis and technology integration

Applicants must possess or have the ability to be licensed for a Wisconsin DPI License for Kindergarten. Salary is commensurate with background, education, and experience.
