The current opening is for a full-time (1.0 FTE) elementary teacher (grades K-2) who instructs and supports the District programs. Under the direction of the school administration, the educator provides standards based instruction and support to all students by developing, selecting and modifying plans and materials to meet the academic needs of all students. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment, building strong relationships, and supporting students of all ability levels. We are looking for an educator who brings strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of differentiation and applied standards.

The educator also works in continuous collaboration with all other teachers and staff; provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals; supervises students in a variety of school related settings; collects data in order to evaluate student outcomes and make sound instructional decisions; employs effective use of technology and school based systems in order to raise student outcomes; communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community; and develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.

Work Schedule: Full time

Salary/Wages: Salaried position based on certification and experience

Job Summary:

The current opening is for Kindergarten with flexibility for movement and utilizing the strengths of our team. Under the direction of the school administration, the elementary educator provides standards based instruction and support to all students by developing, selecting and modifying plans and materials to meet the academic needs of all students. The educator also works in continuous collaboration with all other teachers and staff; provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals; supervises students in a variety of school related settings; collects data in order to evaluate student outcomes and make sound instructional decisions; employs effective use of technology and school based systems in order to raise student outcomes; communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community; and develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Integrates technology to enhance student learning

  2. Interprets both formal and informal classroom, district and state based assessments for students in order to make instructional decisions

  3. Uses a variety of classroom management skills and techniques

  4. Effectively differentiates materials to assist students with disabilities to readily access the general education curriculum

  5. Participates in professional development activities designed to advance teacher knowledge in the areas of instruction, best practices, and differentiated instruction.

6 Takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.

  1. Maintains accurate and complete records as required by district policy and the law

  2. Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms

  3. Establishes relationships with colleagues, students, parents and community that reflect recognition of and respect for every individual

  4. Regularly evaluates and reflects on his/her own effectiveness and demonstrates successful application of skills and information acquired to increase effectiveness. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence

  5. Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required

  6. The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee's supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law, board policy, administrative regulation, department handbook, and/or as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission

Certification and Licensure:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree and valid WI DPI license for areas taught; elementary middle education (1088).

Priority may be given to candidates currently holding (or willing to acquire) additional licenses.

A strong background in foundational reading and mathematics instruction.
