Position Overview:

Morrice Area Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team at Morrice Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, support academic success for all students, and contribute to a collaborative school culture focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan K-5 Teaching Certificate
• Preferred training or experience with MTSS and PBIS
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices
• Familiarity with and ability to implement State Standards
• Effective use of technology to enhance instruction, improve student achievement, and increase engagement
• Experience using research-based assessment tools
• Training and experience in differentiated instruction
• Background in cooperative learning and hands-on, inquiry-based instruction
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Excellent professional attendance record
• Must pass a criminal background check and Central Registry clearance
