We are seeking a qualified and mission-aligned Elementary Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Summary

The Elementary Teacher at Central Christian School is responsible for providing Christ-centered instruction that supports the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of students. Teachers plan and deliver instruction aligned with school curriculum and standards, foster a positive classroom environment, and partner with families and colleagues to support student success in alignment with CCS mission and values. 

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong classroom leadership, effective communication skills, and a passion for supporting elementary students academically and spiritually within a collaborative school environment.

Core Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Implementation

  • Plan and deliver instruction aligned with CCS curriculum, standards, and grade-level expectations
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
  • Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth
  • Maintain daily lesson planning and classroom organization
Classroom Environment & Student Support

  • Establish a classroom culture that is safe, respectful, and conducive to learning
  • Support student behavior in alignment with school policies
  • Foster positive relationships with students and families
  • Fulfill assigned supervision duties including recess, lunch, transitions, and carline dismissal
Assessment & Reporting

  • Assess student learning using formative, summative, and standardized test measures
  • Maintain accurate grade records and provide timely feedback
  • Complete required report cards, progress reports, and documentation
  • Organize and manage a variety of opportunities to celebrate student learning for families 
Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, chapel, and required school events
  • Communicate regularly with families in a professional and timely manner
  • Remain on campus for the full instructional day and required meetings
Professional Conduct & Compliance

  • Follow school policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and family information
  • Fulfill supervisory duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Ability to support the mission and values of Central Christian School
  • Appropriate instructional skills and understanding of elementary education
Preferred

  • Teaching certification or licensure
  • Prior teaching experience in an elementary school setting
Work Schedule & Environment

This is a full-time, exempt position following the school-year calendar. Teachers are expected to be present on campus during assigned work hours and instructional days and fulfill responsibilities associated with their teaching assignment and department expectations. 

This role involves classroom instruction, student supervision, and active engagement with students throughout the school day.
