Qualifications and Characteristics:

• Joy in working with elementary-aged children
• Desire to serve children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to manage groups of 20+ children in classroom, lunchroom, and outdoor settings
• Ability to take direction from school principal and lead teachers
• Ability to work side-by-side with other aides and staff
• Professional and courteous communication with parents, students, and colleagues
• Comfortable with basic technology, including email, word processing, and network drives
• Comfortable with learning new technology and/or smart phone apps
• Ability to stand for several hours, crouch/bend down to children's levels, and go up/down stairs multiple times a day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Alignment with the CCLS Statement of Faith is mandatory
• Active membership in an LCMS Lutheran congregation is preferred 
• Past experience as a classroom teacher or aide is preferred
