DAVENPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 207 801 7th Street Davenport, WA 99122 NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING POSTING DATE: June 12, 2026 CLOSING DATE : Open Until Filled POSITION TITLE : 1.0 FTE - Elementary Teaching Position Beginning in the 2026-27 School Year Assignment: TTK - 8 (Dav enport Elementary & Middle School) Primary Focus: 3rd Grade Note: This position will mostly likely be a 3rd grade teaching position with the possibility of it being 4th grade. This is a categorically funded (LAP/Title) position to help with a large elementary bubble coming through. We anticipate this position being needed for the 2026-2027 school year but beyond that it will be evaluated year to year . This position will be dependent on enrollment and categorical funding. *Position is funded with categorical funds. A decrease or loss of ca tegorical funds will result in the elimination of the pos ition and/or reassignment. QUALIFICATIONS: Possess valid Washington State teaching certificate with elementary education endorsement. Prior successful experience teaching in elementary grades, upper elementary strongly preferred. Demonstrated outstanding communication sk ills with students, staff, and parents. Demonstrated experience in the use of technology to provide instruction and assessment. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHALL: Demonstrate ability to design and implement effective, relevant, and engaging instruction at the elementary school level. Exhibit strong skills in the ability to comm unicate effectively with students, parents and staff. Be enthusiastic, open minded and flexible in meeting the needs of students, the school, the district and the community. Demonstrate the ability to communicate clea rly and effectively in both oral and written forms, and collaborate with parents and school staff. Maintains and submits student records and pr ogress in a timely manner, and willingness to communicate student progress wit h parents/guardians/care takers. Maintain professionalism by being a str ong role model for students, by actively participating in professional development activities and demonstrating a commitment to support grade level and school wide goals and practices. Align curriculum to match district goals. Demonstrate knowledge of ELA & Math Washington State Standards. Have experience using formative and su mmative data to inform instruction. Willingness to become a key member of a highly func tioning PLC team. Understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI) and/or best practices around providing interventions and extensions to meet students' varying needs. Willingness or experience teaching over z oom/google meets in a syn chronous classroom remote learning enrolment. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the building principa l or superintendent.
