POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Elementary technology teacher to fulfill a vacancy at Country Oaks Elementary.

Position Type: Instructional - Elementary

Location: Country Oaks

Salary: Per contract

Status: 2026/2027 School year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate is required.
  • Applicants must show a proven capability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, leadership, families, and the broader Huron Valley community.
  • Applicants must have experience with technology applications, hardware operations and appropriate use of technology.
  • Applicants must have experience using instructional technology effectively in the elementary classroom.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Cultivate a secure and productive learning space for students in grades K-5 (including special education settings) while implementing the district's elementary technology curriculum and reporting on student progress.
  • Collaborate actively with the building staff and district technology cohort to assist in curriculum development, instruction, and assessments.
  • Deliver instructional activities aligned with Michigan Educational Technology Standards and guide students in the safe use of online resources.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices.
  • Act as the primary contact for building-level technology support for staff and students and oversee staff training initiatives.
  • Address technology-related inquiries from students and their families to ensure seamless digital access.
  • Willingness to serve as a representative for Country Oaks on the district-wide data coach team.

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
