About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Electrical Designer(MEP Design)to support our engineering team with electrical drafting, design development, and project coordination. This role is ideal for an experienced designer looking for flexible part-time work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing electrical drawings and supporting commercial, schools, or infrastructure-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and revise electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics.
- Assist engineers with design development and construction documentation.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
- Perform field verification and support project site visits as needed.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design or drafting preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design software.
- Understanding of electrical systems and construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- For New Jersey residents with available own car only.
- Fresh Graduates or Engineering students in their last semester with some previous relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
