Elevator Service Technician
Delaware Elevator of Florida has an immediate need for Service Technicians to maintain service and repair Elevators in surrounding areas of Southwestern Florida.
Responsibilities:
• Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment - Servicing repairing adjusting and testing machines devices moving parts and equipment that operate based on mechanical & electrical principles - in private and public infrastructure environments. • Must pay close attention to detail when following procedures and operating elevator equipment. • Must be alert & able to notice any changes in the elevators performance and determine cause to rectify in timely manner. • On call rotation Service Techs scheduled after hours on regular basis as needed. • Able to work independently to satisfy customer needs for emergencies entrapments or repairs. • Able to satisfy fit for duty requirements to perform independently & efficiently. • Apprentice will not be scheduled alone for the on-call rotation until satisfy educational and demonstrated skill requirements. • Travel Able to travel as needed some overnight stay on occasion. • Repair teams may handle more weight and lifting requirements based on individual projects.
Qualifications:
We require a minimum of 5 years experience working independently as an Elevator Mechanic Technician and hold valid elevator mechanic credentials - will consider state elevator license with additional years of experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and elevator troubleshooting skills with ability to handle physical workload required in fit-for-duty assessment.
