Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a part-time (20 hours a week) Elementary School-Based Therapist to provide school-based psychotherapeutic services to children and adolescents struggling with mental health issues at the Elgin Stella Mayfield school.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a behavioral sciences field required. Two years of relevant mental health experience with youth populations is preferred. Meets requirements of a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Understanding of behavioral health assessments, treatment and service terminology and ability to apply the concepts, provide psychosocial skills development, and implement interventions.
  • Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meetings and/or trainings.
  • Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.

Essential Job Duties

Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance Assessment and screening of adolescents, and children Provide individual, group, and family therapy; develop individual treatment plans Develop format and gather curriculum for specific population groups Provide crisis response on-site at Stella Mayfield Weekly consultation with Behavior Health Team crisis and family treatment teams Assist clients in applying for and obtaining services and benefits; transportation needs; community involvement etc. Monitors client appointments and progress; maintains accurate and timely case notes, treatment plans and client records Participate in group and one-on-one supervision as appropriate Makes referrals to other community clinics or agencies as appropriate. Works as a consultant or trainer to staff, other individuals, other agency personnel. Provides mental health and chemical dependency education and training to other staff, outside professionals, family members and the community. Must have the ability to maintain positive and professional working relationships with co-workers, clients and other agencies. Other duties as assigned.
