We seek talented, highly‑motivated individuals who desire to support community oncologists and patients.Job Description Objective: This position verifies patient insurance coverage, obtains authorizations, and resolves billing‑related issues, bridging the gap between patients, medical staff, and insurance companies.Responsibilities / Essential Functions Verify insurance coverage details using established procedures.Update coverage at the account level to prevent denials.Complete timely, efficient verification and obtain authorizations following payer and internal procedures.Manage and track patient office visit authorizations from initiation through completion, with accurate documentation.Maintain comprehensive medical records, including eligibility and authorization documentation, CPT codes, ICD codes, and relevant medical terminology.Ensure HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient information during all processing stages.Assist in resolving issues related to coverage denials or authorization delays promptly and professionally.Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture across all teams.Identify issues and trends impacting patient care, quality, and timely reimbursement; report findings and potential solutions to leadership.Meet quality and productivity standards.Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical office setting, knowledge of office procedures, medical terminology, insurance registration, coverage and eligibility verification, and obtaining authorizations.Knowledge of insurance verification processes.Familiarity with medical coding, including CPT and ICD standards.Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, handling high volumes while maintaining attention to detail.High School Diploma (required).Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in computer processing functions and standard office equipment.Effective management and prioritization of multiple tasks.Calm and professional issue resolution with diplomacy and tact.Independent work with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills.Visual acuity to read computer screen and paper documents; hearing acuity for conversation.Physical ability to stoop, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally; ability to sit for hours.Working Conditions Position functions indoors in a medical/business environment with moderate noise levels and interruptions.Travel Travel between local offices when necessary.Pay $21–$24 per hour.#J-18808-Ljbffr
