GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Eligibility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and management of the eligibility component within the program. This role ensures that certification activities are conducted with the highest standards of quality control and compliance, adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees client financial eligibility activities by planning, assigning, and supervising the work of assigned staff.
• Manages daily operations of eligibility staff, ensuring adequate coverage, including Certification/Eligibility, and coordinating schedules and training.
• Provides training and technical assistance to new and existing staff, including cross-training to enhance team flexibility.
• Offers guidance and support to staff in resolving complex or sensitive client issues.
• Conducts internal quality control activities by monitoring the application process and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Verifies case eligibility and makes determinations based on applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Coordinates and conducts special investigations and program reviews to ensure service quality and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors and manages workload distribution to ensure timely and effective delivery of client services.
• Prepares and analyzes management reports, productivity studies, and documentation related to program performance.
• Establishes unit goals and objectives; develop schedules, priorities, and performance standards.
• Develops, implements, and monitors program guidelines, procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Maintains accurate and complete client records and appropriate files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provides policy clarification, consultation, and up-to-date program knowledge to staff.
• Resolves conflicts and address complex operational challenges effectively.
• Acts as a liaison with public and private organizations to coordinate support and services.
• Prepares and delivers presentations and seminars for clients, staff, management, and stakeholders.
• Schedules and conducts field office visits to support program operations and staff development.
• Attends meetings and participate in committees as required.
• Submits all required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Evaluates program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback.
• Performs other duties, tasks, and services consistent with this position as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
• Three (3) years of experience in a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
