Position Title: English Language Instructor (ELL)
Reports To: CDSS Director
The Academic Instructor supports a federally funded residential training program for youth aged 16-24, providing career-based technical and academic training.
Summary of Duties: We seek a Part-Time ELL Instructor to help students improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while preparing them for academic and career success. The role involves creating engaging lessons, assessing progress, supporting test and certification preparation, and collaborating with staff to promote student growth.
Ideal Candidate: Passionate about teaching, experienced with diverse learners, capable of creating student-centered environments, adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic with strong communication skills.
Credentials: Bachelor's degree required, valid state teacher certification, and a valid driver's license.
In this role, you'll foster a positive learning environment, support individualized learning needs, and help students develop essential language and life skills to succeed academically and professionally.
