NP/PAs see approximately 2 patients/hour
Main ED and fast-track coverage
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday:
7:00 AM–7:00 PM
11:00 AM–11:00 PM
7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Monday & Wednesday:
7:00 AM–7:00 PM
9:00 AM–5:00 PM
4:30 PM–12:30 AM
7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Rapid Assessment Zone (RAZ)
In-house psychiatric coverage for 12 hours
Approximately 90% of admissions managed by hospitalists
Observation unit available

No scribes; providers utilize Fluency Direct dictation
A second New York location is also available with a lower-volume emergency department.

Schedule:
Weekdays: 10:00 AM–8:00 PM or 3:00 PM–1:00 AM
Weekends: 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
Graduate of an accredited NP program
Active NY RN and NP licenses
Active AANP or ANCC FNP certification
Active NY DEA with NY address and required prescribing schedules
ACLS, PALS and ATLS – AHA
Moderate sedation experience/training
Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years
New graduates may be considered with appropriate training
Graduate of an accredited PA program
Active NY PA license
Active NCCPA certification
Active NY DEA with NY address and required prescribing schedules
ACLS, PALS and ATLS – AHA
Moderate sedation experience/training
Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years
New graduates may be considered with appropriate training
Current annual flu vaccination
Current PPD or chest X-ray for initial credentialing
Current physical for initial credentialing
Annual N95 fit test
MMR, Hepatitis B and Varicella titers

Ideal candidates: Emergency Medicine NPs/PAs who are comfortable in a busy ED environment and have the required New York licensing, DEA, certification and emergency medicine credentials in hand.
