Embedded Engineer - Twinsburg, OH

We are hiring for an embedded engineer to develop software, test and work closely with Aerospace-focused requirements.

Description

Overview: 10% coding, 20% requirements, 70% testing/debugging; this role is mostly writing test plans/requirements

• Complete development lifecycle of the embedded software
• Software authoring and reviewing
• Debugging embedded C software
• Root cause investigation for problem reports
• Using development tools for analyzing software performance (stack/memory usage, timing margins, structural coverage of verification, etc.)
• Creating test strategies for software requirements
• Support investigation of software verification failures
• Support of audits by customers and government authorities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded experience
• Understanding of microcontroller architectures and operational principles
• C language
• Version control tools and concepts
• Lifecycle management tools (including requirements, tracing validation and verification, and problem reporting)
• Debugging embedded systems with simulations
• Aerospace or medical device industry experience
• Able to sustain software development for projects ranging over several years

Desired:

• DO-178 or IEC 61508
• A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical, computer, software engineering or computer science
• MISRA C standards
• Understanding of principles of power electronics
• Capable of reading schematics

This is a Contract position based out of Twinsburg, OH.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
