We are looking for talented and motivated embedded software development engineer to join the team, innovate and build next generation Amazon Echo devices that deliver intuitive and intelligent voice assistant to millions of customers with many exciting features!

Key Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and passionate Embedded Software Engineer to be part of an exciting team. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of next generation products used every day, by people you know. In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for system architecture and development of new features for embedded systems • Investigate, prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions • Profile, Analyze and optimize system level performance • Design, develop and verify firmware for embedded systems • Participate in design reviews, API development, and documentation • Work with new technologies that are vital to product development • Deliver investigation plans and reports, architectural documents, design specs, software and firmware source code, build scripts • Perform tasks including debug, bring-up, Beta and production software development • Collaborate with both software and hardware product teams

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment with internal and external teams to bring new silicon and peripheral technologies to life. You will design and implement embedded software to form the core of our devices, working through hardware bring-up from early silicon to production. You will craft your software from requirements, designs, code, test, to product deployment. You need to navigate technical ambiguity, making priority calls in order to develop solutions with high quality.
