Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Qualcomm Snapdragon
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer with deep expertise in Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in low-level software development, board bring-up, and Linux kernel engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize software solutions for Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs.
- Perform board bring-up, driver development, and kernel optimizations.
- Work with Linux embedded operating system development to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain low-level software, including firmware, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Implement abstraction layers to limit access to Linux kernel-level functions.
- Work with embedded bus functionalities such as I2C, PCIe, SPI, MDIO, CAN, and more.
- Optimize and integrate the full video stack within a Linux graphics environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Electrical Engineering experience is a plus).
10+ years of experience in software development.
3+ years working with Qualcomm SoCs (board bring-up, kernel development, driver experience).
Strong experience with Linux embedded systems development.
Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Bash scripting.
Expertise in Qualcomm 32- and 64-bit ARM SoCs, including kernel development, patch integration, and maturity updates.
Hands-on experience with device drivers, microcontroller firmware, operating systems, and bootloaders.
Experience in Linux kernel porting, patch integration, and system abstraction.
Familiarity with embedded bus interfaces (I2C, PCIe, SPI, MDIO, CAN, etc.).
Experience working with Linux video stack and graphics subsystems.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with power-efficient optimizations for Snapdragon SoCs.
Expertise in real-time operating systems (RTOS), AI acceleration, or high-performance computing (HPC).
