The Panther Group is seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers for long-term contract opportunities supporting advanced defense technology programs in Grand Prairie, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge real-time embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments with a leading aerospace and defense organization.

We are looking for engineers with strong C/C++ development experience, hands-on embedded systems expertise, and active Secret clearance eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain real-time embedded software applications
  • Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation and integration activities
  • Develop embedded software solutions using C/C++ in Linux and real-time operating environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support system integration and testing
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
  • Support simulation systems and embedded hardware interfaces
  • Utilize modern development and configuration management tools including Git, GitLab, and JIRA
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 4+ years of embedded software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with C/C++ (C++11 or newer preferred)
  • Experience working in Linux and real-time operating system environments
  • Hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) experience
  • Experience supporting real-time embedded systems and simulation systems
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Grand Prairie, TX
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ada programming language
  • Full software development lifecycle experience
  • Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Git, GitLab, and JIRA
  • Agile/Scrum development experience
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience preferred
Pay $113.22 per hour DOE
