Summary
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development, integration, and optimization of real-time embedded software for advanced autonomous vehicle platforms. This role requires deep expertise in embedded C/C++, RTOS-based systems, and low-level hardware/software integration, supporting complex vehicle control, actuator, and sensor-driven systems operating in demanding real-world environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong systems mindset, hands-on debugging and integration experience, and the ability to work across the full software development lifecycle—from architecture and feature development through testing, field deployment, and long-term system support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead embedded software feature development for autonomous robotic vehicle systems.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded applications supporting vehicle control, actuators, and sensor systems.
  • Drive software integration across embedded hardware, controls, and systems engineering teams.
  • Develop clean, maintainable C/C++ code using modern software engineering principles and design patterns.
  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and simulation test frameworks using a test-driven approach.
  • Support field deployments, debug complex system issues, and contribute to continuous software improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams to ensure reliable system performance and integration.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience developing embedded real-time software systems in C/C++.
  • Strong experience with multithreaded embedded applications and RTOS environments.
  • Familiarity with embedded hardware, electrical systems, and mechanical system interaction.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, SPI, or RS232.
  • Experience interfacing with sensors including GPS, LiDAR, RADAR, ultrasonics, or similar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2, autonomous systems, robotics, or vehicle platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with device drivers, embedded Linux, or flash programming tools.
  • Background in system simulation, debugging, and embedded software testing.
  • Exposure to AI technology is a big plus
