Key Responsibilities:- Performing engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments to ensure efficient and effective processes.
- Designing and scaling up manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment to improve quality and productivity.
- Planning, designing, and estimating time and cost to oversee construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components.
- Analyzing and developing solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
- Developing and applying engineering standards and procedures while providing advice on technical issues within the engineering field.
- Supporting embedded software verification, including conducting development tests, dry runs, and formal test executions.
- Executing manual and automated test protocols, analyzing results, and supporting debugging and defect resolution.
- Performing software updates and system bring-up to support application integration and system readiness.
- Partnering with embedded development and clinical development teams to support integration testing and enable rapid validation cycles.
- Developing and executing test scripts and protocols using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB, and documenting results in JAMA and Jira defect tracking systems.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- Prior experience with medical devices, robotic systems, or similar regulated environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- 24 years experience in software, embedded testing, firmware, or hardware testing.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and basic testing concepts.
- Ability to interact with hardware using network protocols, digital signal analyzers, oscilloscopes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in debugging and verification processes.
- Experience working in regulated environments, understanding SDLC and verification standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of requirements traceability tools such as JAMA or DOORS.
- Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Experience with software development lifecycle standards in regulated industries, especially medical or robotic surgical fields.
