Maintains, repairs, analyzes, and installs EMCS systems and components using hand tools and testing instruments to include digital and analog voltage/amperage meters, electronic temperature and humidity meters, DC voltage power supplies, etc.
Specific Responsibilities:
Performs inspections of installed analog/ digital sensors, switches, actuators, valves, and associated components.
Interprets ladder and block programming control logic.
Tests and balances mechanical heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. These systems include variable air volume, constant volume, multi-zone ducts, and exhaust systems.
Uses a variety of instruments, including pressure gauges, manometers, anemometers, barometers, and contact rpm gauges.
Reads and interprets mechanical/ digital control system drawings and project specifications.
Uses laptop computers and various analytical software/ hardware interfaces to analyze EMCS systems.
Performs other related duties associated to the job classification.
