A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join its emergency services team. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who excel in fast-paced environments, make sound clinical decisions under pressure, and are committed to providing exceptional care during urgent and emergent situations.
The Emergency Department RN will assess, stabilize, and care for patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, this role requires strong critical-thinking skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to prioritize care effectively.
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
Triage patients and identify conditions requiring immediate intervention
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and emergency treatments as prescribed
Assist with trauma care, emergency procedures, and life-saving interventions
Monitor cardiac activity and other vital functions using specialized equipment
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
Provide pain management and evaluate patient responses to interventions
Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Promote patient safety while ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the department
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or ability to obtain
Previous emergency department or acute care nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
