Department Details The Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit dedicated to initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, transporters, techs and registered nurses. The Emergency Department sees on average 170 patients per day with varying acuities and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, from pediatricto geriatrics. Duties Responsibilities Provides quality patient care consistent with the standards and guidelines established by AnMed Health Emergency Department. Works under the guidance and supervision of the Emergency Department nurse(s) and charge nurse(s) Provides treatment as ordered by the physician(s) / provider(s), helping to promote quality and safe care to the patients within the department Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Completion of an approved nursing assistant training course, hospital-based nursing assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, or surgical technician.
