Work Schedule: This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days/hours will often vary from week to week.
Accountable for helping with the delivery of quality care to patients and families, according to the individualized needs of the patient.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Promotes positive relations when interacting with patients, visitors, families, physicians, customers and co-workers.
Acts as receptionist for the department.
Handles in-coming and out-going information in person and by telephone.
Assist with department equipment and environment cleaning.
Assists with basic patient care and vital signs monitoring.
Assists nurse in admission and discharge by transporting patient to and from unit.
Obtains supplies and materials when required, to include daytime stocking linens and evening supplies.
Provides assistance with special projects.
Perform phlebotomy if appropriately trained as a phlebotomy technician.
