Emergency Dept Tech - Emergency Room Department - Full Time 72 Hour

Job Summary

Provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Requires the knowledge, technique, and communication skills to therapeutically meet the needs of assigned Med-Serg Patients. Responsible for performing a variety of assigned tasks. Must be able to identify each patient's age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.

Job Specification

• Minimum Education Required

• A high school graduate or equivalent

• Minimum Experience Required

• 1 year Medical-Surgical Nurse Aid experience preferred.

• Licensure/Certification Required

• Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred. Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).

Skills

• A commitment to service excellence and performance improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with legible penmanship and computer knowledge.
• Posses the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate with RN/GN staff to report changes in patients conditions.
• Ability to provide direct patient care to the Med-Surg patient.
