Emergency Dispatcher

Location: Wichita, KS

Facility: Via Christi Hospital St. Francis

Department: Ground Transport

Schedule: PRN | As Needed 12 hour shifts

• Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio calls for medical assistance.
• Respond to calls in a time-sensitive manner. Ensure appropriate and accurate routing of calls.
• Dispatch emergency units and coordinate air medical flights as appropriate and per established algorithms.
• Maintain documentation of calls and physician/service referrals for legal, medical and statistical purposes.
• Follow up with referring entities for ease of access, marketing, evaluation, and quality improvement.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

• Prior experience in EMS or 911 Emergency Dispatch is preferred
• Must be available to work any shift: 7:00am-7:30pm, 12:00pm-12:30am, and 7:00pm-7:30am
