POSITION SUMMARY An EMT who, under the guidance of the ALS Liaison, the Medical Director and the Director of Emergency Services, functions as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic. This candidate will perform a variety of activities associated with SRMCs Ambulance Service. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: Graduate of an approved Emergency Medical Technician - Basic program, with current certification practice as an EMT - B in North Carolina. BCLS certification; recertification required annually. ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; recertifications required biannually. EMS certification (EMT-B) by NCOEMS. Preferred: TNCC Certification, or other approved trauma course.
