Role Description The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Trainee role is an on-site position located in Boston, MA. In this role, the trainee participates in classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training to learn foundational EMT skills, including patient assessment, basic life support, and safe transport procedures. Day-to-day activities may include observing experienced EMTs on calls, practicing emergency response scenarios, maintaining equipment and supplies, and documenting training progress in line with established standards. The trainee collaborates with instructors, supervisors, and peers to develop strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness in high-pressure environments. This role is designed to prepare individuals for certification as an EMT and future employment in emergency medical services.\n

- Ability to develop core emergency medical skills, including patient assessment, basic life support techniques, and safe handling and transport of patients.

- Capacity to follow detailed clinical instructions, learn medical terminology, and apply protocols and procedures accurately under supervision.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, instructors, and team members in stressful situations.

- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to safety, including adherence to confidentiality, ethics, and infection control standards.

- Physical ability to perform EMT tasks, such as lifting and moving patients and equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in varied environments.

- High school diploma or equivalent; eligibility to enroll in or complete an approved EMT training program and meet state licensure requirements.

- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by emergency response operations.
