Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Opportunity)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional emergency medicine coverage during night shifts, mainly from 6 AM to 2 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, or 1 PM to 11 PM.
- Manage an average of 110 patient visits per 24 hours, delivering timely and compassionate care.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and adhere to privileging requirements to ensure seamless patient service.
- Utilize your expertise to handle diverse emergency cases, maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
Required Skills:
- Active California medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (BC or BE within 5 years)
- ABEM or ABEOM certification (no substitutes accepted)
- Demonstrated experience in emergency medicine with current hospital clinical activity
- Ability to work night shifts exclusively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hospital privileging processes
- Strong documentation and case log management
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and EMR systems
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in emergency medicine
- Proven track record in fast-paced emergency settings
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid California driver’s license and meet travel reimbursement guidelines
- Maintain current certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Complete all privileging documentation prior to assignment start
- Availability to commence start date of July 20, 2026
