Emergency Medicine NP or PA - Southwest Louisiana

StaffMed Health Partners is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time, permanent Emergency Medicine position in Southwest Louisiana. This role offers the chance to work in a busy community ED with strong physician support, flexible scheduling options, and competitive compensation.

Position Highlights:

• Annual volume: ~22,000 visits
• 14-bed Emergency Department
• Average 50–60 patients per provider/day
• Coverage model: 24/7 physician coverage (12-hour shifts) plus 12–15 hours/day APP coverage
• Varied shifts with some double coverage for added support
• Full-time schedule: 120 hours/month (W2 employment)
• Shift options: 8, 10, or 12 hours

Requirements:

• Board Certified NP or PA with active Louisiana license and prescriptive authority (required)
• 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine or acute care experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume emergency setting
