Inhospital Physicians is actively recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians for St. Mary’s Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a community-based Emergency Department offering a strong team environment, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine without the chaos of large academic centers.
This role is ideal for physicians seeking stability, autonomy, and a collegial culture while maintaining exposure to meaningful clinical cases.
Position Highlights
- 1099 independent contractor position
- 12-hour shifts
- Full-time: 120 hours per month

Clinical Environment
- ~54 patients per day
- Cath lab available

Staffing Model
- 1 Emergency Medicine physician on shift
- 2 APPs during the day
- 1 physician coverage overnight

Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
- Will consider ABFM with 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience or EM fellowship training
- Active or eligible for Missouri medical license
- Comfortable with moderate acuity and transfer workflows
