St. Marys Health System is seeking a BCBE Emergency Medicine Physician .8 FTE to join our dynamic and collaborative Emergency Department in Lewiston, Maine.

Our recently renovated Emergency Department features:

• 22 modern exam rooms • Advanced updated equipment • Emergency Medicine-trained physicians • Daily coverage from experienced PAs and NPs • Strong nursing support and interdisciplinary collaboration

You will practice in a setting where subspecialty support is readily available, including:

• Surgery • Cardiology • Hospital Medicine • Pediatrics • Neurology • Orthopedics • OBGYN • Psychiatry

Dedicated Behavioral Health Emergency Services

Unlike many community EDs, St. Marys offers a separate dedicated behavioral/mental health emergency department staffed with psychiatric nurse practitioners, specialized nurses, and support staff - along with inpatient child/adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and chemical dependency services. This structure allows for safer, more efficient care for all patients.

St. Marys Emergency Department has earned Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians.
