Title - Emergency Medicine Physician

Location

  • Eagle Butte, SD

Schedule

  • Shifts: Morning shift 7a-7p or 8a-8p or Night shift 7p-7a (7 on/7 off)

Expectations

  • ER physicians are expected to provide care for a wide range of medical emergencies, from trauma and acute illnesses to chronic disease exacerbations and mental health crises.
  • Triage incoming patients, stabilize critically ill or injured individuals, and determine the appropriate level of care required.

Site Information

  • Remote (Telehealth): Not at this time
  • Census: .5 - .7 patients per hour
  • Patient type: All ages
  • Hospital Bed Size: 2 Trauma Rooms 16 Treatment Bays 4 Triage Rooms
  • Hospital level: Critical care access
  • Support Staff: OBGYN, Hospitalist, OPP, Nurse specialist, etc, (If needed) transferred to level 1 and Level 2 hospitals In Sioux Falls, SD
  • PTSD Counselor: Provided
  • 6 months - 1 year commitment
  • EMR: RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System)
  • Malpractice insurance with Tail coverage

  • Experience: Have 2 years of experience

  • Credentialing time: 6-8 weeks
