Carle Health Methodist Hospital, a 345-bed, not-for-profit, multispecialty regional hospital and Level II Trauma Center located in Peoria, Illinois, is seeking Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians forPRN opportunities. This is a great role for physicians seeking flexible scheduling in a supportive hospital-employed environment.
Annual ED volume of approximately 36,000 patients
Level II Trauma Center with access to comprehensive specialty support including cardiology, gastroenterology, anesthesia, hospitalists, critical care, and general surgery
Collaborative team of 8 full-time and 4 part-time emergency physicians, alongside 8 APPs and 4 part-time APPs
EPIC electronic medical record system in use
Flexible shifts including days, swings, nights, weekdays, and weekends depending on need and availability
APP oversight role with additional compensation
Multispecialty hospital with a broad referral base and a commitment to quality patient care
Employment: Hospital-employed by Carle Health
Schedule: PRN, 1-year contract
Board Eligibility: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (BE within 5 years)
No leadership or faculty responsibilitiesclinical focus only
No visa sponsorship
No telemedicine or outpatient responsibilities
Malpractice coverage with tail provided
The general compensation range for this position is $285 - $295/hour, (based on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model)
Retirement plan available for physicians working 500+ hours annually
Malpractice and tail coverage provided
No sign-on bonus, relocation, or CME funding for PRN roles
Emergency Medicine training only (Family Medicine candidates not considered)
Physicians licensed or eligible for Illinois medical license
